A glue pot keeps a bath of EVA or PUR and films it with a roller. A nozzle / jet / glue-box system meters adhesive onto the panel or tape through a slot or nozzles (the architecture people mean when they say “Holz-Her”). Pots are simpler to run and cheaper to buy; nozzles can run a thinner, more consistent film and faster colour changes if you maintain them. How to decide
If your drawing only says “automatic edge banding machine” and you run EVA on cabinets, a maintained pot (YM-365 through YM-468J) is the workhorse. If a corporate spec says “Holz-Her glue system” or “no glue roller”, that is a different machine conversation — see European vs Chinese.
PUR in a pot is still PUR chemistry; it is not automatically worse than a nozzle. Poor cleaning is worse than either architecture.
Request a quote with the glue system named. Do not assume the word “edgebander” includes a jet.
